SEA DOG BREWING COMPANY ANNOUNCES OPEN HOUSE IN BANGOR: TO HELP RAISE FUNDS FOR THE SHAW HOUSE

BANGOR, MAINE (March 27, 2003) -- Sea Dog Ventures, Inc. will celebrate the re-opening of the Sea Dog Brewing Company in Bangor on Tuesday, April 8 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. This event marks not just the re-opening of the restaurant, but celebrates the spirit of community by raising funds for the Shaw House.

Located in downtown Bangor, the Shaw House provides services to homeless and at-risk youth. Services include: transitional housing, street outreach, food and shelter, health care assistance, case management, and early intervention.

On Tuesday, April 8 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm, visitors will be welcomed into the newly renovated restaurant to tour the location, sample the new menu fare, meet the Sea Dog staff, and join the Sea Dog in supporting the Shaw House.

"We welcome everyone to come check out the new Sea Dog. We're thrilled to be part of the Bangor community and are pleased to have the opportunity to highlight the work the Shaw House does with the young people in our area," noted Jim Bunting, operations manager.

Shaw House staff will be on hand to meet the public. They will be accepting voluntary donations as well as holding a 50:50 raffle and a silent auction including an original painting by Jay Palmer Libby.

"Our goal is to generate revenue for the kids we serve while giving the public the opportunity to get to know who we are," remarked Doug Bouchard, executive director of the Shaw House.

This event is free and open to the public. For those who would like to lend their support, there is a $10 suggested donation to the Shaw House. The Shaw House staff will be hosting an informational table where donations can be made.

Following the open house, the Sea Dog Brewing Company will be open at 4:00 p.m. for dinner only on Wednesday, April 9 and Thursday, April 10.

Starting Friday, April 11, Sea Dog will be open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner from 11:30 - 1:00 a.m.
