SEA DOG BREWING COMPANY CREATES TOPSHAM PALE ALE

TOPSHAM, MAINE (March 12, 2003) -- The Sea Dog Brewing Company celebrates the re-opening of their brew pub at 1 Main Street in Topsham, Maine with the creation of Topsham Pale Ale, which will be available on tap exclusively at this location.

Topsham Pale Ale is an English style classic pale ale brewed with all English grains including pale and crystal malts, the latter of which gives the beer a nice coppery hue and nutty flavor undertones. This pale ale is crafted with 4 different varieties of hops to give the beer a complex but well balanced hop character, finishing with a delightful but subtle Cascade hop nose. 4.8% alcohol by volume.

The Sea Dog serves lunch and dinner 7 days a week from 11:30 - 1:00 a.m.

The executive chef is Chris Gordon, who is also the executive chef at Federal Jack's Restaurant and Brew Pub in Kennebunk. The general manager is Larry Killam, who managed both the Topsham and the Camden locations under the prior ownership. The operations manager is Jim Bunting, who also oversees Federal Jack's Restaurant and Brew Pub as well as the Kennebunkport Brewing Company, Kennebunkport Chowder Company, and India Street Pasta.

"We welcome everyone to come check out our new menu and, as the weather gets warmer, relax outside on our river-front deck with a freshly brewed Topsham Pale Ale," remarked Bunting.

The Sea Dog Brewing Company at 26 Front Street in Bangor is slated to re-open in mid-April. Bunting, Killam, and Gordon are the team heading up that location as well.

Sea Dog Ventures, Inc. is currently looking for a location to purchase in the mid-coast area so the former Camden brew pub can be reopened in 2004 .
