SEA DOG BREWING COMPANY INVITED TO PARTNER WITH PEMBERTON?S GOURMET FOODS ON NATIONAL PRODUCT LAUNCH: TWO NEW BEER MARINADES FEATURE SEA DOG WINDJAMMER ALE

TOPSHAM, MAINE (March 4, 2004) -- Pemberton's Gourmet Foods of Gray and the Sea Dog Brewing Company of Topsham and Bangor have formed a partnership to create and launch two new and unique cooking sauces. Pemberton's all new Sesame Asian Glaze, and, Windjammer Ale Seafood Barbecue, sauces both contain the Sea Dog Brewing Company's award-winning Windjammer Ale and feature the Sea Dog logo on the label. These products have been created in response to consumer demand for premium grilling and cooking sauces for poultry and seafood, and, starting in April, will be available in specialty food stores across the United States.

Pemberton's currently distributes their full line of cooking sauces, pestos, salsas, dessert sauces, mixes, and other gourmet products to almost 1,000 specialty food stores nationwide. Their highest sales concentration is on the East Coast and in the Pacific Northwest.

Sea Dog's hand-crafted ales can be found in retail and restaurant locations all along the eastern seaboard from Maine to Florida.

"Sea Dog is not only a great tasting, premium beer, but is also a well-established brand which really enhances the credibility of these beer-based cooking sauces," said Jeff Johnson, owner of Pemberton?s Gourmet Foods. Likewise, Pemberton's has an expertise in producing high-end cooking sauces and has a quality, gourmet image that is well-known in the specialty food trade. We believe that a co-branded approach is a winning combination and the best way to present these sauces in the marketplace.
