SEA DOG BREWING COMPANY OPEN HOUSE: CELEBRATES THE 200th BIRTHDAY OF THE TOPSHAM LIBRARY

TOPSHAM, MAINE (February 8, 2003) -- Sea Dog Ventures, Inc. will celebrate the re-opening of the Sea Dog Brewing Company in Topsham on Tuesday, February 11 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. This open house is free and open to the public. This celebration marks not just the re-opening of the restaurant, but also the 200th birthday of the Topsham Public Library.

On Tuesday, February 11 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm, visitors will be welcomed into the newly renovated restaurant to tour the location, try samples of the new menu fare, meet the Sea Dog staff, and join the Sea Dog in supporting the Topsham Public Library.

In the spirit of their 200th birthday, the board members and staff of the Topsham Public Library will be dressed in period costume and don red carnations, which were what the library founders wore when the library first opened 200 years ago.

"We're thrilled to be part of the Topsham community and are pleased to have the opportunity to partner with the Library on our open house," noted Jim Bunting, head of operations. "We welcome everyone to come check out the new Sea Dog." The restaurant will be open at 4:00 p.m. for dinner only on Wednesday, February 12 and Thursday, February 13.

Starting Friday, February 14, Sea Dog will be open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner from 11:30 - 1:00 a.m. The Bangor Sea Dog restaurant location is slated to re-open in mid-April. On Thursday, February 13 Sea Dog staff will be on hand to meet the Bangor community at the Bangor Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event being held at Prexar, 40 Summer St., Bangor.
